Youth Research Inc Seeks Role Playing Actor

This posting is for PAID work starting June 2022.  This will be role playing specific to Child Welfare case worker training being trained by Youth Research Inc (YRI).

YRI will be restarting the in-person Classroom deliveries in April, which runs about 6 weeks spread out over a stretch of time (as caseworkers aren’t able to be out of their county that long uninterrupted) for each delivery.

The Classroom enactments are always on a Friday morning.  It is a half day only in the morning.  There are two actors that play Frank Smith/Sue Miller (a 17 & 18 year old couple with a baby,) and two actors that play the Thompsons (Scott & Lonnie, mid 30’s couple with 3 children, the youngest with some disabilities.)

All roles are open to people of all ethnicities, age, and gender identity,  4 roles are needed:

These 4 actors would conduct the first simulations simultaneously in separate areas at 9am and then again after a morning break which is somewhere around/after 10:15am.   These caseworkers for this simulation are addressing a CPS hotline that was called in on both families and this is the first time that they are going out to meet the family.

The simulation process is the same for both rounds:

Once these trainings are up and running on a regular basis, they typically will be every other Friday (first one is June 10th, then July 1, 15, August 5, 19, September 2…)

The pay rate is a flat rate for the half day of work.  Training will also be paid.  No travel or meals will be reimbursed.  All trainings will be held at the Human Services Training Center (HSTC) in Rensselaer, NY
