Berkshire Theatre Group Announces Non-Equity Auditions for “A Christmas Carol”

Pittsfield, MA–Berkshire Theatre Group seeks local non-Equity male and female identifying actors of all ethnicities for its community production of A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens, adapted and directed by Eric Hill running December 7 through 23 at The Unicorn Theatre in Stockbridge, MA.

All auditions will take place at The Colonial Theatre located at 111 South Street, Pittsfield, MA 01201 on Monday, October 23, 2023, from 6 to 9pm.

BTG is seeking children (Grades 3 and up) and some adults to fill the roles in the production. Please note there will be a small group of children cast in this production. Roles are limited as performances will be in our beautiful Unicorn Theatre so the cast is limited in size.

Actors should prepare one short traditional Christmas carol to be sung acapella, which they may or may not be asked to sing. Actors will be asked to read from the play. Callbacks will take place the same evening.

Appointments and pre-registration are necessary to audition.

Auditions are by appointment only and must be scheduled by 5pm October 20th. Appointments and registration for auditions can be made by emailing auditions@berkshiretheatre.org.

Rehearsals for A Christmas Carol will begin on Thursday, November 9 and will be held after school, evenings and weekends in Pittsfield, MA. Attending all rehearsals is required. The production runs December 7 through 23 with two 10am student matinees planned.
