Character Breakdown:

Mr. Peel: 35-45. Newest member of the committee. Has just returned from a funeral and missed the past meeting. Has a young child. Is new to town.

Mayor Superba: 55-65. Pleasant and clear toned. A real leader.

Ms. Innes: 60-70. Very run of the mill committee member. It wouldn’t be out of character to hear “This is the way we’ve always done it.”

Mr. Breeding: 40-55. Could have been either a prosecutor or high-level defense attorney if not for serving on this small town committee. Fast talker. Manipulative and wouldn’t care to hide it.

Mr. Blake: 45+. The only member on the committee of color. Very, “let’s see where the chips fall,” kind of member. Doesn’t want to rock the boat too much.

Mr. Hanratty: 30-45. Might be on the committee to bolster his image in town or to claim whatever extras he can. Transfixed on replacing the town fountain.

Ms. Johnson: 30-40. The town clerk. Does her job well and wants to do the right thing but can sometimes be led in other directions. Very organized.

Mr. Oldfield: 75+. The longest serving member of the committee, and he’ll tell you. Doesn’t say much but when he does, he expects to be listened to, or should he be?

Ms. Matz: 30-50. Neurotic and fidgety. Very climate conscious. Probably has more than one recycling bin in the driveway. Rides a bike everywhere to reduce carbon footprint. Not very talkative.

Mr. Assalone: 40-55. Sleazy used car salesman type. Will sell his vote to the highest bidder. Also plays stooge for Mayor Superba.

Mr. Carp: (Cameo) 55-65. Outspoken. Trying to do the right thing. Takes accountability. PLEASE NOTE: This role has been cast.
