Pittsfield High School’s Proteus Theatre Presents “Chicago: Teen Edition”

Pittsfield— From May 3rd through May 11th, Pittsfield High School’s Proteus Theatre presents ‘Chicago: Teen Edition’ directed by Kyla Blocker with musical direction by Ashley Paradis & Kyla Blocker and choreography by Summer Lawton.

Step into the roaring twenties. Set amidst the glitz and glamor of the prohibition-era, Chicago follows Roxie Hart and Velma Kelly, two fame-hungry vaudeville performers accused of murder. With the help of smooth-talking lawyer Billy Flynn, these anti-heroines manipulate the media, challenge the justice system, and vie for the spotlight in a cutthroat battle for fame and freedom.

Filled with jazz, unforgettable characters, and ensemble dance numbers, Chicago explores themes of corruption, celebrity culture, and the pursuit of the American Dream. Don’t miss your chance to witness the “razzle dazzle” of Pittsfield High School’s final production of the year!

The performances are May 3rd at 7:30 p.m., May 4th at 2:30 p.m., May 10th at 7:30 p.m., and May 11th at 2:30 p.m. in the Pittsfield High School Theatre, 300 East Street in Pittsfield. Tickets are $12 for adults and $8 for students in grades K through 12. Tickets may be purchased at https://www.showtix4u.com/event-details/83647 or at the door by cash or check.
