Capital Rep ON THE GO Touring Production:

Since 1998, Capital Rep’s On the Go tours have performed in schools, community centers and theatres throughout the Capital Region. These one-hour performances highlight literature and history associated with New York State. Performances take place Monday- Saturdays, mostly daytimes and occasionally early evenings.  Performance schedule varies according to weekly bookings. Actors travel in the Capital Rep van to and from all venues; NO OVERNIGHTS.

Production: SLEEPY HOLLOW, Based on the short story by Washington Irving, Adapted by Maggie Mancinelli-Cahill

Directed by: Margaret E. Hall

Synopsis: It’s a dark and stormy night and the bridge to the Tarrytown recording studio has washed out, leaving two local yokels – the Knickerbocker Brothers – to perform their annual podcast of the classic ghost story The Legend of Sleepy Hollow with the town’s ‘magical’ and lovely baker, Jasmine Vander Hooven. The trio reenacts Irving’s spooky tale with devastatingly funny – and spooky – results! With live Foley sound effects and music, Irving’s tale gets a contemporary treatment that honors the original and is sure to inspire and delight audiences 8 to 80!

First Rehearsal: 9/26 (daytimes 10-6); First performance: 10/15; closes 11/2

(Performance Schedule:  Monday-Saturdays. Times vary. Mostly daytimes with some early evenings.)

Seeking (2) Male presenting actor/musicians and (1) Female presenting actor, all should be versatile, physically agile, quick-study actors.

This is not a musical, but all actors involved in the production need to move well.
