(August 30, 2024–Chatham, NY) The Mac-Haydn Theatre is thrilled to present the return of “The Fantasticks” to cap off the 2024 summer season, running for a two-week engagement from September 5 to September 15.
This timeless classic promises to enchant audiences with its charming tale of young love and whimsical storytelling under the direction of John Saunders, with Bella DePaola making her choreography debut and musical direction by Eric Shorey, “The Fantasticks” brings to life the endearing tale of two young lovers Luisa (played by Belle Babcock) and Matt (played by Conor Fallon) find their budding relationship tested time and time again by their meddling fathers, the challenges of distance, and the unexpected highs and lows of companionship.
The cast brings together an energetic combination of new and familiar talent. Jeffrey Konowitch makes his Mac-Haydn debut as Bellomy. Tristan Caldwell stars as El Gallo. Returning cast members include Gabe Belyeu as Huckabee, Kevin Weldon as Henry, and Emily Allen and Anthony Michael Velez as the Mutes.
The production features scenic design and lighting design by Andrew Gmoser, costume design by Daniel Hewson, sound design by Sean McGinley, hair and makeup by Emily Allen, and props design by Paul Colarusso.
