Sunday January 19 at 6:30 pmCreative Action Unlimited studio, 6 Greenwood Dr, East Greenbush, NY 12061 (Call backs on Thursday January 23 at 6pm)
Directed by Stephanie Remmert and Siobhan Shea
Thinking Too Loud follows the tense and psychological journey of two strangers, who find themselves trapped in a malfunctioning elevator. As the hours stretch on, the claustrophobic space becomes a pressure cooker for their personal demons.
Each act of Thinking Too Loud will feature a different pair of actors, so we will be casting a total of four roles.
Roles are open to actors over age 20 and all genders and ethnicities will be considered.
Character 1: PTSD Sufferer
Overview: A resilient but deeply haunted individual who struggles with post-traumatic stress disorder stemming from a life-altering event. They are intelligent and kind but are often overwhelmed by intrusive thoughts, flashbacks, and heightened anxiety.
Character 2: Bystander
Overview: A compassionate and empathetic individual who witnesses the PTSD sufferer’s episodes. They may not fully understand the condition but are determined to help while grappling with their own feelings of helplessness.
Audition material will be provided by the directors.
Rehearsal schedule will be determined by actors’ availability, with the exception of tech week and performances, which are mandatory:
Tech week: April 27 (day) and April 28-May 1 (6-10 pm)
Performances: May 2, 3, 9 and 10 (7:30 pm all dates, plus Saturday matinees at 4pm)
