THE CHRISTMAS TREE FARM

Auditions:
Tuesday, September 16 & Thursday, September 18
Sign-ups begin at 7:15 pm, auditions begin at 7:30 pm
Location:
Schenectady Civic Players is located at 12 S. Church St, Schenectady, NY, 12305.
Performance Dates:
December 5 – 7 & 10 – 14, 2025
Friday / Saturday at 8:00 pm, Sunday at 2:30 pm, Wednesday/Thursday at 7:30 pm
Rehearsals:
There will be 3-4 rehearsals per week, days/times depending on cast availability.
Please, bring lists of conflicts to auditions.
Synopsis:
A series of vignettes, mostly love stories, taking place at a Christmas tree farm, including a breakup, a breakdown, a “meet cute”, four Santas, a film director, high school sweethearts, and some carolers. A holiday play about love and joy.
Available Roles: The script has 20+ characters. Our goal is to cast the show with five actors, split as shown below. This concept is open to refinement depending on auditions.
Bri – any gender, 30s. Bri could be short for Brian or Brianna or BringMeAFiggyPudding – Dressed like a farmer but a chic farmer who deals with customers. Bri is in every scene.
Actor 1 – male, late 20s-early 30s. Frito (shy couple), Santa 4, Taylor (Stargazer), Director (of a movie), J (passionate young man).
Actor 2 – any gender – late 20s – 30s. Rue (shy couple), Santa 3, Elf, River (Stargazer), Angel, Drew (Owner of Garden Center).
Actor 3 – female, 30s-50s. Santa 1, EA (novelist), Movie Actress, Quinn (HS sweetheart), Dana (mayor).
Actor 4 – male, 30s-50s. Santa 2, Terry (ghost), AE (novelist), Movie Actor, Palmer (HS sweetheart).
Auditions will be sets from the play.
