Auditions for Taking A Stand – Creative Action Unlimited

Creative Action Unlimited invites you to join us for auditions for Taking A Stand, an original script written and directed by Aaron Moore that will perform on March 6, 7, 13 and 14.
Taking A Stand focuses on the ongoing fight against racism and honor those who work to challenge racism in America.
All roles are available and auditions will consist of reading from the script. There is no need to prepare anything in advance.
Roles include:
Archie: (late 40s – early 50s)African American Male
He is an activist in the community and has been doing his social justice work for quite some time.
Winston: (Late 20s – early thirties) African American male
He is a young new attorney who has not started his career off well but is trying to make a name for himself
Jamal: (late 30s) African American male
Jamal owns the local barbershop that everyone frequents. He is young but a rough life has given him wisdom beyond his years
Officer Samuels: (early 30s) white
Officer Samuels has followed in his family’s footsteps of becoming a police officer. Often times he’s confused about what is the right thing to do when it comes to true policing.
Frank The bus driver: (Late 40s mid 50s) white
Frank is a very loud and proud man who has known Archie for a very long time and is still in wonder of why he is out here doing what’s he’s doing.
