Ghent, NY — The Ghent Playhouse announces an exciting update to its Season 51 lineup. Due to unforeseen production issues, Grey Gardens, originally scheduled to run this April, will be replaced by Grand Horizons, a sharp and heartfelt comedy by acclaimed American playwright Bess Wohl.
Grand Horizons premiered at the Williamstown Theatre Festival in 2019 before making its Broadway debut later that same year, earning praise for its wit, emotional depth, and insightful exploration of marriage, family, and the unexpected turns of later life.
The Ghent Playhouse production of Grand Horizons will be directed by Cathy Lee Visscher. Performances will run from April 10 through April 19, continuing the Playhouse’s tradition of presenting bold, engaging, and contemporary theatre.
“We are thrilled to bring Grand Horizons to our stage,” said Director Cathy Lee Visscher. “While we regret the need to change our original plans, this remarkable play offers our audiences a compelling and entertaining theatrical experience.”
