Tickets to the rollicking comedy range from $35 – $38, and can be purchased online at majestictheater.com, or by visiting or calling the box office at (413) 747-7797.
Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus!: The Musical, and The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical will be staged as part of the Majestic Children’s Theater Program July 6-29. Young Actor’s Toolkit: Summer Intensive
Location: Majestic Theater, 131 Elm Street, West Springfield
Dates: August 3-14
Monday – Friday, 10am – 3pm
$420
For ages 11-15 years old
This two-week theater training intensive for ages 11–15 welcomes both new and returning Majestic students. Led by Majestic teaching artists and apprentices, the program focuses on hands-on workshops rather than a single scripted play, allowing young artists to build core skills while enjoying more opportunities to perform and participate. The experience culminates in a 1:00 PM showcase on the final day, highlighting each student’s strengths, interests, and favorite ways of telling stories.
Limited to 40 participants.
In addition to the children’s theater shows and workshops, the Majestic will also present Improv with The Majesters, on July 15 & 22 and August 5 & 10. All shows are at 7:30pm, and all $15 general admission tickets are sold at the door on the night of the shows only.
Most of the summer events will be music concerts (full listing below) featuring tunes made famous by, among others, The Beatles, Billy Joel, Linda Ronstadt, The Eagles, Jackson Browne, Johnny Cash, Simon & Garfunkel, ABBA, Whitney Houston, Celine Dion, Elvis Presley and more.
Concert ticket prices are $32 for A & AA seating; $30 for all other seating. Tickets for all summer shows are currently for sale online at majestictheater.com, or at the box office at 131 Elm Street in West Springfield. They can also be purchased by calling (413) 747-7797.
