Goodspeed Musicals Announces Casting for “Crazy for You”

EAST HADDAM, Conn. (May 12, 2026) – Goodspeed Musicals proudly welcomes Crazy For You as its second production of the 2026 season. A spectacular celebration of classic song-and-dance musicals, Crazy For You will run from June 19 to Aug. 9 at The Goodspeed in East Haddam, Conn. [Official Press Opening will be July 1, 2026, at 7:30 p.m.]
 
Crazy For You features music and lyrics by George Gershwin and Ira Gershwin, a book by Ken Ludwig, and co-conception by Ludwig and Mike Ockrent. It is inspired by material by Guy Bolton and John McGowan.
 
Put on your dancing shoes because Crazy For You, the multiple Tony Award®-winning musical comedy is tapping its way onto the Goodspeed stage. When Broadway hopeful Bobby Child is sent to Nevada to foreclose on an abandoned theatre, he hatches a plan to save the town and get the girl—by putting on a show! Featuring glorious Gershwin melodies including “I Got Rhythm,” “Embraceable You,” and “Someone To Watch Over Me,” it’s a spectacular celebration of classic song-and-dance musicals. Who could ask for anything more?

Polly Baker will be played by Brittany Zeinstra (Broadway: Harry Potter and the Cursed ChildThe Prom). Irene Roth will be played by Hailey Thomas (Off-Broadway: Little Shop of Horrors, The Baker’s Wife). Everett Baker will be played by Jeremy Davis (The Goodspeed: George M!, Babes In Arms; The Terris: The Great Emu War; Broadway: Floyd Collins, CATS, Frozen). Lank Hawkins will be played by David Andrew Morton. Mother/Patricia Fodor will be played by Michele Ragusa (The Goodspeed: Me & My GirlL’il AbnerRadio Girl; Broadway: Flying Over SunsetYoung FrankensteinUrinetown).

Costume design will be by Joseph Shrope (The Goodspeed: A Chorus Line; Off-Broadway: Romeo & BernadetteThe Rules of Desire). Lighting design will be by Paige Seber (The Goodspeed: All Shook Up, Broadway:Titanique). Sound design will be by Jay Hilton who has designed countless productions at both The Goodspeed and The Terris Theatre and serves as Goodspeed’s Audio Supervisor. Wigs, hair and makeup design will be by Mary Lee (Broadway: CATS: The Jellicle Ball (associate wig designer), Liberation (associate wig designer)). Orchestrations will be by Ryan O’Connell (The Goodspeed: A Christmas Story, The Terris: Private Jones).
