EAST HADDAM, Conn. (May 12, 2026) – Goodspeed Musicals proudly welcomes Crazy For You as its second production of the 2026 season. A spectacular celebration of classic song-and-dance musicals, Crazy For You will run from June 19 to Aug. 9 at The Goodspeed in East Haddam, Conn. [Official Press Opening will be July 1, 2026, at 7:30 p.m.]
Crazy For You features music and lyrics by George Gershwin and Ira Gershwin, a book by Ken Ludwig, and co-conception by Ludwig and Mike Ockrent. It is inspired by material by Guy Bolton and John McGowan.
Put on your dancing shoes because Crazy For You, the multiple Tony Award®-winning musical comedy is tapping its way onto the Goodspeed stage. When Broadway hopeful Bobby Child is sent to Nevada to foreclose on an abandoned theatre, he hatches a plan to save the town and get the girl—by putting on a show! Featuring glorious Gershwin melodies including “I Got Rhythm,” “Embraceable You,” and “Someone To Watch Over Me,” it’s a spectacular celebration of classic song-and-dance musicals. Who could ask for anything more?
Bobby Child will be played by Will Burton (The Goodspeed: Hello, Dolly!; Fiddler on the Roof; Broadway: Beetlejuice; Hello, Dolly!; Kiss Me, Kate). Polly Baker will be played by Brittany Zeinstra (Broadway: Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, The Prom). Bela Zangler will be played by Edward Juvier (The Goodspeed: 42nd Street, Gypsy; Broadway: Les Misérables). Irene Roth will be played by Hailey Thomas (Off-Broadway: Little Shop of Horrors, The Baker’s Wife). Everett Baker will be played by Jeremy Davis (The Goodspeed: George M!, Babes In Arms; The Terris: The Great Emu War; Broadway: Floyd Collins, CATS, Frozen). Lank Hawkins will be played by David Andrew Morton. Mother/Patricia Fodor will be played by Michele Ragusa (The Goodspeed: Me & My Girl, L’il Abner, Radio Girl; Broadway: Flying Over Sunset, Young Frankenstein, Urinetown).
The ensemble will feature Claire Avakian, Willie Clyde Beaton II (The Goodspeed: 42nd Street, Broadway: A Wonderful World: The Louis Armstrong Musical), Colin Bradbury (Broadway: BOOP!, Elf, Funny Girl), Courtney Brady, Kailee Regan Brandt, Katie Scarlett Brunson, Samuel Colina, Bradley Gibbins-Klein, Kelly Gleason, Taylor Lane (The Goodspeed: 42nd Street), Brian Shimasaki Liebson (The Goodspeed: 42nd Street), and Griffin Wilkins.
Swings for this production are Lexi Baldachino and Brandon J. Morris (The Goodspeed: Irving Berlin’s White Christmas).
Crazy For You will be directed by Michael Fling, Goodspeed’s associate artistic director. Kelli Barclay will choreograph the production (The Goodspeed: Irving Berlin’s White Christmas; The Will Rogers Follies; Anything Goes; My One And Only; Damn Yankees; Hello, Dolly!; How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying; The Terris: Hello! My Baby; Broadway: Irving Berlin’s White Christmas (associate choreographer)). Music direction will be by Goodspeed’s Resident Music Director Adam Souza (The Goodspeed: Over 25 productions including A Chorus Line, Ragtime, Gypsy, Maggie, The 12, The Mystery of Edwin Drood; Broadway/National Tours: Wicked, Kinky Boots, Spamalot, Les Misérables).
Scenic design will be by Ann Beyersdorfer (The Goodspeed: A Chorus Line, The Mystery of Edwin Drood). Costume design will be by Joseph Shrope (The Goodspeed: A Chorus Line; Off-Broadway: Romeo & Bernadette, The Rules of Desire). Lighting design will be by Paige Seber (The Goodspeed: All Shook Up, Broadway:Titanique). Sound design will be by Jay Hilton who has designed countless productions at both The Goodspeed and The Terris Theatre and serves as Goodspeed’s Audio Supervisor. Wigs, hair and makeup design will be by Mary Lee (Broadway: CATS: The Jellicle Ball (associate wig designer), Liberation (associate wig designer)). Orchestrations will be by Ryan O’Connell (The Goodspeed: A Christmas Story, The Terris: Private Jones).
Chris Zaccardi will be the Production Stage Manager (The Goodspeed: A Chorus Line, All Shook Up, They All Laughed, The 12, and many more; Broadway: Hello, Dolly!; Wicked; One Man, Two Guvnors). Casting for this production is by Paul Hardt / Hardt Casting.
