Announcing auditions for Bunbury Players’ production of
RABBIT HOLE

All roles are open to performers of all ages, ethnicities, and gender identities.
Becca – Age range 35-45. Femme presenting. Becca is the central focus of the show. She has suffered the loss of her 4-year-old son and her grief is manifesting in purging all traces of her son. She is accused throughout the show by her husband and family of grieving unhealthily. Becca has a difficult time asking for support.
Howie – Age range 35-45. Masc presenting. Howie is the husband of Becca and is having the hardest time grieving the loss of his son. Howie throughout the show has a difficult time managing his grief, openly running through his emotions in real time. Howie feels disconnected from his wife and is constantly looking for a reason to blame for his son’s passing.
Izzy – Age range 25-35. Femme presenting. Izzy is the younger sister of Becca. She is the only member of the family who has been able to grieve and reach the acceptance stage of the grieving process. Izzy throughout the show struggles with managing the joy of being pregnant while supporting her sister’s grieving process.
Nat – Age range 55-75. Femme presenting. Nat is the mother of Becca and Izzy. She is desperate to relate to her daughter Becca throughout the show having gone through a similar loss when her son passed away at the age of 30. Becca refuses to acknowledge Nat’s loss stating they aren’t comparable.
Jason – Age range 15-25. Masc presenting. Jason is a high school senior who accidentally hit Becca and Howie’s child, Danny, leading to his death. Jason spends the show hoping to get in contact with the family looking to be absolved for his part in their son’s passing. The family struggles to let him in, leading Jason to try and get more creative with his attempts to communicate.

No preparation is needed — you will be asked to read sides from the script.
We ask that you also provide a headshot and resumé if you are able to.
