Two Consecutive Weekends: April 10–12 and April 17–19

[GHENT, NY] — The Ghent Playhouse proudly announces its upcoming production of Grand Horizons, written by Bess Wohl and directed by Cathy Lee-Visscher. This witty and deeply moving comedy will run for two consecutive weekends, April 10–12 and April 17–19.

In Grand Horizons, a long-married couple shocks their adult sons with an announcement that turns “happily ever after” on its head. What follows is a razor-sharp, laugh-out-loud exploration of love, marriage, and the secrets we keep—even from ourselves. Smart, surprising, and deeply human, the play asks: What if the bravest thing you could do after 50 years… is start over?

“Life is messy. It can be funny and sad and poignant, all at the same time,” said Lee-Visscher. “Bess Wohl captures the messiness perfectly in this wonderful portrayal of love, marriage, and family.”

Performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m., with Sunday matinees at 2:00 p.m. Advance tickets are available online at ghentplayhouse.org: $23 for paid Playhouse members, $28 for nonmembers, and $12 for students. Advance tickets and memberships may be purchased from the website with no additional processing fees.
