Plays and roles available:

The Boutonniere, by Tyler S. Rexnouse – Minutes before their wedding, Taylor, the bride, is quietly unraveling while the groom, Logan, can’t find the boutonnière, chosen by Taylor and her mother in one of their last moments together. Logan, understanding the significance of losing the boutonnière, begins to unravel too. What follows is a delightful scramble of comedy and romantic chaos leading to the inevitable question: can Taylor and Logan make it to “I do?”

  • TAYLOR: (any age, gender, or ethnicity) a loving but frantic bride
  • LOGAN: (any age, gender, or ethnicity) a loving but frantic groom
  • SAM: (any age, gender, or ethnicity) Taylor’s supportive bridesmaid
  • RILEY: (any age, gender, or ethnicity) Taylor’s mischievous bridesmaid
  • CHRIS: (any age, gender, or ethnicity) Logan’s cool and collected groomsman
  • JESSE: (any age, gender, or ethnicity) Logan’s groomsman and intrusive wedding photographer

greyscale, by Elizabeth Decasse – K is here to present on their research about the social conventions of “How are you?” But‬ then Grey shows up. If you ask K, everything’s fine. Really. F. I. N. E.‬

  • K: (any age, gender, or ethnicity) Struggles with depression but typically hides it well. High functioning.
  • GREY: (any age, gender, or ethnicity) That companion that you keep around despite always somehow feeling worse after they visit. That shadow that gets into your head and slowly consumes you. Depression itself, come to bite K in the ass.

Baxter for President, by Mike DeMasi – Set in the distant future, a veteran reporter chronicles a first-of-its-kind presidential candidate with a strong chance of winning – a groundbreaking but frightening prospect. The campaign chief shares a secret with the reporter that leaves her vulnerable, and forces him to make a wrenching decision.

  • SAM BISHOP: (30s-60s, male, any ethnicity) veteran reporter
  • LIZ STANTON: (30s-60s, female, any ethnicity) campaign chief
  • CRISPIN BAXTER: (30s-60s, male, any ethnicity) presidential candidate

Triplets, by Melinda Gros – Let the games begin: two newborn triplets vie for the dubious honor of being ‘first-born’ while the third cherishes the everything-is-gonna-be-all-right vibe of being third.

  • OLDEST TRIPLET: (played by an adult, any age, male, any ethnicity) this newborn triplet is only older because he pushed ahead to be first-born – sweet but conniving
  • MIDDLE TRIPLET: (played by an adult, any age, gender, or ethnicity) this newborn triplet expected to be the first-born, until it was pushed aside. Neurotic.
  • YOUNGEST TRIPLET (played by an adult, any age, gender, or ethnicity) the happy-happy triplet, laid back with no pressure or expectations of future success.

A Close Inncounter, by Anthony R. Pezzula – A nerdy couple fascinated by UFO’s meets for the first time at an inn’s café greeted by a skeptical waitress. But not all is as it seems.

  • DONNIE MATTICE: (20s-40s, male, any ethnicity) a bit geeky, believes in UFO’s and extraterrestrials.
  • EMMA BETRUGER: (20s-40s, female, any ethnicity) attractive, also a bit geeky with apparent similar interests.
  • SADIE SMITH: (any age, female, any ethnicity) waitress, tired, sarcastic, tough.

5 Mins to Midnight, by Jae Gayle – a fast-paced play revealing the tensions between American capitalism and Black womanhood.

  • THE INFLUENCER (30s-40s, Black woman): Preferably dark skin tone. Intellectual, “hood feminist,” sharp, and weary but powered by a deep, ancestral battery.
  • THE JOURNALIST (any age, White woman): The avatar of the “White Liberal Consensus.” She is polished, soft-spoken, and terrifyingly polite. Her “niceness” is a weapon.
  • THE HISTORIAN (40s+, White man): The Gatekeeper. Academic, dry, and fundamentally dismissive. He views Black history through the lens of a proud American patriot.

The Final Straw, by William Daisak – Three actors are reviewing their performances in a show, and one dropped a line. Not the end of the world, right? But in this case, it IS the End of the World – literally. And the other actors are not happy about it…

  • BOB: (any age, male, any ethnicity) a stage actor in an unnamed production
  • SARA: (any age, female, any ethnicity) a stage actor in an unnamed production
  • STEVE: (any age, male, any ethnicity) a stage actor in an unnamed production
  • GABRIEL: (any age, male, any ethnicity) the archangel, blower of the endtime horn
  • LUCIFER: (any age, male, any ethnicity) ruler of the underworld

We hope to see you there!
