TURNERS FALLS, MA — End Pride Month with a bang! The Rendezvous is proud to present Burning Roses Burlesque’s queer circus arts burlesque show, “See You L8ter Space Cowboy,” on Friday, June 29, 9 p.m. at The Rendezvous, 78 3rd St in Turners Falls.
In this show, Burning Roses Burlesque presents their usual sexy circus stylings with a space western flair. Featuring some of the wackiest and hottest performers in their stable, with original acts and homages to some of your favorite pop culture franchises, this show is a real pleaser. So bring your singles, saddle up and get ready to blast off — you’re not gonna want to miss this one!
Burning Roses Burlesque is an egalitarian neo-burlesque troupe based in southern Vermont. They are “not your grandmother’s burlesque,” and pride themselves on presenting the weird, offbeat and experimental performances not found in traditional burlesque. They are comedic, edgy, LGBT and circus-inspired, and are sure to give audiences something to talk about for weeks to come.
Performing will be troupe members The Stellar Cedar, Them Brûlée, Viscera Nefarious, Jack Rose, Asster Rico, Jaime V and Moxxie Hart.
The Stellar Cedar is a professional circus artist, rigger and production assistant, meaning that the only time they’re not onstage is when they’re behind it or above it. Cedar is known for charming audiences everywhere with their combo of acrobatic talents and burlesque (and being, like, really hot). Viscera Nefarious is a life-long performer and professional weirdo. A sideshow and burlesque artist, this non-binary baddie loves leather and lace, little black dresses and power tools, and is here to help you embrace your bad side. Find more of what she’s up to on Instagram at @viscera.nefarious
Hailing from the land of sugar and salt (maple and snow melt) Vermont-based Them Brûlée is here to satisfy your sweet tooth with palette tickling treats. Clown and confection alike, they perform character-driven, gender wiggly that will leave you laughing, inspired, and coming back for seconds. Rocketing fast through the universe’s star debris and celestial gasses, Asster Rico (he/they) has come for a short stop in Massachusetts to fuel up. Stocked up on Plutonian dust and dark matter, this rocket cowboy has more than just some sparkle to share with you. He’s got wisdom from other worlds about ex-binary thinking that will give your gas tank sustenance, and might even make you question your sexuality.
Although new to the burlesque scene, Jaime V has over 30 years experience on the stage and is ready to entertain! Located in Brattleboro Vermont and a member of Burning Roses Burlesque, Jaime is here to explore life and share the joy of all of life’s experiences! Jack Rose is our resident rockstar and is a Jack of all trades! Not only is he the co-founder/owner and a co-producer of Burning Roses Burlesque, he sings, shreds on his guitar, and Emcees our events in addition to running all the technical behind the scenes things! From sound to lighting to making sure the performers are ready on time and making sure our safety measures are put in place, Jack plays an integral role in making sure you’re highly entertained!
