Much Ado About Nothing By William Shakespeare Directed By Erica Terpening-Romeo
NOV 14-16 | 7:30 PM | CenterStage | $3

We all know that lies exist on a spectrum: there are lies of politeness or expediency, playful lies we call pranks, unnecessary lies that cause confusion, and malicious lies that can ruin, or even end, lives. Much Ado About Nothing is about all of these. Over the course of a few short days, lies draw characters together and tear others apart, exposing threads of social rot in the process. If this is all soundingdarker than you’d expect from one of Shakespeare’s most delightful comedies, that’s the idea! Much Ado is a complex braid of genres, weaving romantic comedy together with grim social satire together with gothic melodrama. In our production, we will be painting with all the colors in this palette, working collaboratively as an ensemble to tell several stories at once, finding the strands of truth in this hilarious and devastating tapestry of lies.

All performances are expected to sell out. An in-person waitlist will begin one hour before each performance and is highly recommended. Unclaimed/Unused tickets will be released 5 minutes before curtain time.
