Holiday greetings from all of us at Berkshire on Stage! This is your Webmaster (Webmistress??), Gail M. Burns (and my dog, Sylvie). I asked my excellent team of theatre critics to write a little something about their favorite experiences of 2025. I gave them no instructions as to length or format, or even how many shows they chose to highlight. Click the button below and read each critic’s personal favorites in their own words.
Only one critic is assigned to review a particular production so we all saw different shows, but being theatre-lovers we often attend or usher at shows we’re not reviewing. There’s a little overlap but overall these pieces give you a good idea of how diverse and widespread the excellence is in our regional theatre world, and why it is such an honor and pleasure to write about it.
Did you know many of us have never met each other? In fact I would guess more of us don’t know each other personally than do! We only exist as a group here on the Internet, and what a fine group we are.
