(Amherst, MA) – The UMass Theatre Guild invites alumni, students, and friends to celebrate 120 years of theatre, creativity, and community at a special 120th Anniversary Gala, honoring one of the University’s most enduring and vibrant traditions.
Founded in 1906, the UMass Theatre Guild is the oldest registered student organization at UMass Amherst. For more than a century, the Guild has served the UMass and Five College community with unforgettable theatrical experiences while fostering generations of storytellers, artists, and collaborators.
This milestone gala will bring together current and former members to mark the occasion. Guests will enjoy dinner, special performances, and the camaraderie that has defined the Theatre Guild across generations.
Entirely student-run and volunteer-driven, the Theatre Guild welcomes performers and creators of all experience levels; actors, directors, designers, technicians, and playwrights alike. Each semester, the Guild produces a play and a musical, alongside community-centered events such as Trivia Nights, Coffee Houses, and hands-on workshops. At its core, the Theatre Guild remains a place to learn, experiment, collaborate, and belong. All united by a shared love of the stage.
