Come and join the Valley Light Opera for their November 2021 production of Gilbert and Sullivan’s classic Pirates of Penzance; or, the Slave of Duty at The Academy of Music in Northampton. Pirates tells the story of Frederic, apprenticed at an early age to a band of pirates, who is torn between his duty to support his pirate brethren or his newfound love’s family, depending on whether or not he is still an apprentice. Unfortunately, he was born in leap year on the 29th of February, and his parents hired a sloppy lawyer to draw up the contract. Wonderful music, costumes, sets, and dancing. Aaaaaargh!
