Job Description:
The Theatre Institute at Sage (TIS) is focused on the training of theatre artists and producing for family and student audiences. As part of the College of Arts and Sciences, the department offers bachelor’s degrees in theatre, musical theatre, and creative arts in therapy. TIS produces four to five productions a year, ranging from plays and musicals, to workshops and devised theatre.
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced scenic design and construction specialist who will join our department part-time, with an eye towards a full-time position. In addition to scenic design and construction, the position will supervise student workers, maintain safe and clean backstage and building areas, with opportunities for adjunct work and other teaching. Candidates for the position will be comfortable working independently with minimal supervision, while meeting the deadlines and demands of the production.

The estimated wage is $27.50 per hour for 20 hours per week for 40 weeks.
