The Theatre Institute presents  Sherlock Holmes & the Case of the Jersey Lily Written by Katie Forgette Directed by Eileen Schuyler February 9 – February 19, 2023 The wit of Oscar Wilde meets the cunning of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle when Wilde brings his dear friend, the legendary beauty Lillie Langtry, to Baker Street.  She is being blackmailed and only Holmes can solve the case!

Sherlock Holmes and the Case of the Jersey Lily is the third production of the Theatre Institute?s 2022-2023 season.  The production is helmed by Eileen Schuyler, a much-loved local actress seen on the stages of Capital Repertory Theatre, NYSTI, WAM Theatre, and Stageworks/Hudson, among others. She is also Artistic Director of Theater Voices, now in its 31st season. Eileen taught acting for nine years at the University of Albany, and is presently teaching at Russell Sage College.

Russell Sage students Phil Bruns, Elizabeth Broderick, Cameron Richardson, and Avanti Davis are joined by Sage alum Francesca Volpe and local actors Michael Sinkora and David Quinones Jr. onstage in this thrilling mystery as renowned historical and fictional figures.

The company includes creative team designers Vinny Pruchnick, sound designer; Alena Samoray, lighting designer; Jesse White, scenic designer; Lynne Roblin, costume designer; and Eleah Jayne Peal, fight choreographer. RSC senior Regina Desrosiers assembles the team as production stage manager, joined by many RSC Performing Arts program students on production.

About the Theatre Institute: Established in February of 2011, the Theatre Institute at Sage is dedicated to providing quality live theatre and arts-in-education programming to Capital Region youth, educators and residents. The Institute also provides opportunities for Russell Sage students as performers, technicians and teachers. Programs on the Russell Sage Troy Campus include educational support services for Sage productions (such as in-class preparations, teacher dress rehearsals and study guides), a Saturday theatre arts school, camps during school breaks, and several theatre camps during the summer for children ages 5-18.
