Please join Mill City Productions for the inaugural meeting of their new sorta monthly event, MCP Asides! This is like a book club, but with plays: each month we choose a play to read in advance and discuss together. For the month of April we have chosen a piece by local playwright Mark St. Germain, THE GOD COMMITTEE.
THE GOD COMMITTEE premiered at Barrington Stage in 2004, with a movie based on the script in 2021. The story centers around a group of hospital professionals tasked with deciding which patient should get a recent donation of a heart on a rowdy St. Patrick’s Day.
Our first meeting of MCP Asides will take place in the Trustee Board Room of the Adams Free Library on Thursday, April 13 from 6-7:30 pm.
Copies of the play can be purchased online for around $10 at concordtheatricals.com, alibris.com, or thriftbooks.com. Average shipping time is around 9 days.
Mill City also has a few copies available to borrow on a first come, first serve basis. Please email us at contactmillcity@gmail.com if you’re interested!
Have a play you’d like to read at a future meeting? Let us know!
