“Dinner With Friends” a Pulitzer prize-winning drama by Donald Margulies, directed by Sky Vogel, will continue Schenectady Civic Players’ 95th season in May.
Performance dates are Friday–Sunday (May 12-14) and Wednesday–Sunday (17-21). Friday and Saturday curtains are at 8 pm, Wednesday and Thursday curtains are at 7:30 pm, and Sundays are matinees only at 2:30 pm. All tickets are $25. Dinner With Friends by Donald Margulies
Two married couples have been best friends for years. In their Connecticut home, Karen and Gabe, international food writers, are giving a dinner for Beth and Tom, which he doesn’t attend. It emerges from the heartbroken Beth that he has left her for another woman. Karen and Gabe struggle to comprehend the future of their friendship with Beth and Tom.
