The Program:
Historically dressed actors will bring to life the stories of those, from both sides of the conflict, who lost their lives at the Battle of Bennington. Six performances will take place at the top of “Hessian Hill” at the Battlefield site in Walloomsac, NY, in August, and two performances at the BPAC Theatre, for Veterans Day.

Each actor will perform a roughly 4-minute blank-verse monologue based on the experiences of real historical characters, giving voice to those who did not live to tell their tales.

The Cast:
There are roles for 9 men, ranging in age from 20-50-ish, and one woman, 20-30s.

There are specific roles calling for an African American, a Native American Indian, one who will play a tune on a fife, and two who will speak a few words in German.

Actors will work on their monologues individually with the director in June and July, either in-person or via Zoom, at mutually convenient times and as needed. They will also need to be present for a wardrobe consult/fitting and a filmed dress rehearsal at the Battlefield.

We are pleased to be able to offer an honorarium to the cast!
