Open Teaching Artist Position: Playwrighting for Youth Writers.
Sand Lake Center for the Arts (SLCA) is seeking a teaching artist to lead a playwrighting course beginning in September 2023 as part of its (ASAP). The course will consist of 6 Saturday’s. Students will learn the basics of playwrighting. The teaching artist should be well versed in writing for the stage, formatting and be able to work with up to 15 students at a time. The class will conclude with a showcase on the last Saturday in which all pieces will be read in front of a live audience. A college degree in a related field and teaching experience are required.  Experience in teaching playwrighting is preferred.
