The Berkshire Mountain Comedy Arts Festival has announced an exclusive screening of Don’t Suck, a new comedy starring Jamie Kennedy, Russel Peters and Matt Rife.  Don’t Suck was written by Rick D’Elia, a native of Pittsfield MA.  D’Elia, a comedian known for his numerous appearances on The Tonight Show will be the evening’s honored guest.

The BMCAF will be kicking off their Berkshire Filmmaker Series, dedicated to showcasing and celebrating unique cinematic achievements by Berkshire County filmmakers.  Rick D’Elia marks his entrance to movies with Don’t Suck, a witty screenplay which features a cast of today’s top comedic talent including Jamie Kennedy, Carrot Top, Jimmie Walker and Russel Peters.  This summer’s breakout comedy star Matt Rife leads out the cast.

“We are so happy for Rick D’Elia!  He is a great comic who has a dogged Berkshire Mountain work ethic.   He wrote a movie that attracted the attention of some really impressive people and got it made!  How cool is that?”  Kevin Bartini, BMCAF Artistic Director.

“The whole concept of the Berkshire Mountain Comedy Arts Festival is to showcase unique comedy experiences, be they stand-up, sketch, theater, film or whatever else.  We keep a focus on using comedy to give back to the community.  Showcasing Don’t Suck, will give us a chance to celebrate the achievement of one of our own and in doing so, hopefully inspire the next generation.”  Bartini continued.

The Berkshire Mountain Comedy Arts Festival’s Exclusive Berkshire Screening of Don’t Suck Celebrating Pittsfield’s own Rick D’Elia will be held on Sunday August 6th at Images Cinema in Williamstown at 7:00PM.  Tickets are available at 413Comedy.com
