The New Russia Cultural Center‘s theatrical project is centered on the drama presentation of Grigory Gorin’s play Memorial Prayer (written based on the story “Tevye the Milkman” by Sholom Aleichem). The casting call will take place on Saturday August 19 2023 (3:00pm-4:45pm) Saturday August 26 2023 (3:00pm-4:45pm) You will be reading from the script. You only need to attend one of these sessions.Location: Meeting room of the William K. Sanford Town Library, 629 Albany Shaker Rd, Colonie NY.

Synopsis: The play captured the essence of Jewish life in Eastern Europe in the early 20th century. Tevye and his wife, Golda, have five daughters. Tevye’s main concern is finding suitable husbands for his daughters, but he also grapples with the changing times and the challenges faced by the Jewish community.Characters being cast:
Tevye, (50-60years old) a poor milkman with five daughters.
Golda, Tevye’s sharp-tongued wife.
