Greetings to you all,
I wanted to take a moment to share some exciting updates with you, our loyal friends, about our beloved Theater in downtown Bennington, Vermont.
We’ve had a quiet summer, but it’s all been in preparation for a new era of entertainment, education, and unforgettable experiences.
As part of our renaissance, we are excited to introduce our new name, “Bennington Theater,“ as a celebration of who and where we are. These changes are paving the way for over 100 upcoming events at our venue, located at 331 Main Street. Our goal is to infuse even more excitement into our vibrant downtown.
In addition to continuing to host the fantastic Oldcastle Theatre Company productions, Bennington Theater will also be home to the Bennington Theater Players, a dynamic group of emerging artists. We’ll also be welcoming visiting artists, diverse performing groups, and offering engaging classes for adults and young people alike. Leading this charge is our new Creative Artistic Director, Amy Gaither, a seasoned professional with a wealth of experience.
Stay tuned this month as we unveil a rich calendar of plays, comedy performances, and a diverse range of music concerts, from country to classical. We’ll also be offering educational classes and a series of delightful events that will add a touch of magic to downtown Bennington.
Our theater holds a special place in the heart of this region. It’s not only an economic driver for downtown but also a producer of award-winning plays and a source of pride for Bennington. We consider it a true gem within our community.
The renewed Bennington Theater will become a catalyst for transformative experiences, blending various art forms and fostering diverse creative expressions. Our aim is to create events that resonate deeply with Bennington’s civic and cultural community.
Thank you for your continued support, and we can’t wait to share these exciting moments with you.
Warm regards,
Kevin Carlon, Executive Director
