30th Anniversary Party on Saturday, February 10 at the Charles R. Wood Theater
GLENS FALLS — Adirondack Theatre Festival will celebrate its thirtieth anniversary with a peppy tribute to its hometown roots and its national reach.
Adirondack Theatre Festival’s fundraiser has become legendary in Glens Falls for creative themes including James Bond, the Olympics, and last year’s sold-out Beatles Bash. This year’s party is a hometown “Pep Rally” celebrating 30 years of innovative theatre that makes a difference at home and around the country. The night will feature Emcee Billy Floyd of the Adirondack Thunder, songs from musicals developed at ATF that have captured national attention, the unveiling of ATF’s next summer season, a live auction hosted by former ATF Producing Artistic Director Mark Fleischer, and a very special surprise announcement.
The festivities will take place on Saturday, February 10 at the Charles R. Wood Theater, 207 Glen St. in downtown Glens Falls, NY. Doors open at 6:30pm. Tickets are $90 per person and include wine, beer, soda, appetizers, and entertainment. Guests will include local luminaries, attire is “show us your spirit,” and drinks will be flowing courtesy of Mean Max Brew Works, Fitzgerald Brothers Beverages, and Adirondack Wine Merchants. Thematic appetizers will be provided by Gourmet Cafe. Best of all, attendees will party for a great cause and be the first to hear blockbuster news from ATF.
For those looking to keep the party going, a limited number of tickets are available for a private after-party at the Queensbury Hotel. For an additional $60, guests can enjoy “post-game” festivities, snacks, and a cash bar.
Tickets are available at the Charles R. Wood Theater box office at 518-480-4878 or https://woodtheater.org/events/
Additionally, an online auction will go live on February 3. In past years, live and online auction items have included tickets to Saturday Night Live, Broadway shows, and more. Details and tickets to the event can be found at www.atfestival.org or by calling 518-798-7479.
About Adirondack Theatre Festival
Martha Banta and David Turner, along with a 12-member founding committee, created the Adirondack Theatre Festival in 1993 and presented its first 18-day season of new and contemporary theatre at the French Mountain Playhouse within the Lake George RV Park in 1995. Today ATF is the leading professional theatre in New York’s Capital Region dedicated to emerging artists, new plays and new musicals. Each summer ATF produces a nine-week season at the Wood Theater in Glens Falls. The organization operates under a Small Professional Theatre Agreement with Actors’ Equity Association (the union of professional actors). The actors seen on the ATF stage, as well as the designers and directors, have worked regularly on and off-Broadway, on television and in movies.
