Calling all local actors and performers in the 413!

Are you ready to be part of an exciting new musical production that celebrates American history and the spirit of rebellion? We are thrilled to announce auditions for REBEL TOWN The Boston Tea Party Musical! Premiering in May at the Boland Theater on the Berkshire Community College campus.

Audition Dates: February 7th & 8th

Time: 7-9 pm

Location: The Boland Theater at Berkshire Community College, 1350 West Street, Pittsfield.

What to Prepare:

Prepare a song that showcases your musical & acting abilities.

Please feel free to use a backing track for your audition. There will also be a pianist present, if preferred to use live accompaniment.

ROLES AVAILABLE:

SAMUEL ADAMS: The brilliant politician & rabble-rousing head of the Sons of Liberty.

PETER SLATER JR: A bright 13-year-old apprentice who wishes to join the Sons of Liberty.

MERCY OTIS WARREN: The famous Daughter of Liberty & political writer / historian / playwright.

JOHN HANCOCK: The respected merchant, philanthropist & wealthiest man in Massachusetts.

WILLIAM GREY: A diligent carpenter, Son of Liberty, & young veteran of the French-Indian War.

SARAH GREY: A well-spoken Daughter of Liberty & spouse to William Grey.

PAUL REVERE: The famous hardworking silversmith & Son of Liberty who helps to destroy the tea.

ABIGAIL SLATER: A struggling single mother who is deeply concerned about her son’s safety.

GOVERNOR THOMAS HUTCHINSON: The Royal Appointed Governor of Massachusetts Colony.

LT. COLONEL LESLIE: A high ranking British Officer who witnesses the Boston Tea Party.

GENERAL THOMAS GAGE: The British officer sent by England to regain control of the city.

FRANCIS ROTCH: The ship owner sent by the Sons of Liberty to speak with Gov. Hutchinson.

ENSEMBLE OF TOWNSPEOPLE: Town Crier / House Speaker, Henry Knox, Dr. Joseph Warren, Fishmonger, Blacksmith, Sailor, Fruit Man, Old Wig, Town Pastor, Shoemaker, Laundry Woman, Tavern Master / Mistress, Cordwainer, Dockworker(s), Sons & Daughters of Liberty.
