The Ghent Playhouse is accepting proposals from directors interested in submitting productions for our 2024-2025 theater season, marking our 50th Anniversary.
Those interested may submit up to three (3) shows for consideration. We are looking for a well-rounded theater season in all genres: comedy, drama, farce, classic, musical, etc. We offer five productions each season from October through June.
Please provide the following information to Artistic Director, Cathy Lee-Visscher: your name, address, telephone number, email address, and the title and playwright of the shows you are submitting. Kindly also provide a brief resume, along with an overview of what you feel will be needed for your production in terms of lighting, sound, set, costumes, etc.
**PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL DIRECTORS ARE REQUIRED TO PROVIDE ANASSISTANT DIRECTOR/STAGE MANAGER FOR THEIR PRODUCTION**
Requested information should be emailed to ghentplayhouse.org with “2024-2025Theater Season” on the subject line. Copies of the scripts you wish to submit should be mailed to Cathy Lee-Visscher, The Ghent Playhouse; PO Box 64; Ghent, NY 12075. If unable to do so, please email us to request alternate arrangements. Please also indicate your availability or a particular time that you would prefer to direct, and we will do our best to accommodate you.
