Announcing auditions for Bunbury Players’ summer production of
ALICE IN WONDERLAND

All roles open to individuals of any ethnicity or gender identity 12 years and older. See below for character breakdown. Anyone under 18 must have a parent/guardian sign the permission form that can be found on the auditions page our website (bunburyplayers.weebly.com).
No preparation needed. You will be asked to do a movement exercise, designed to help spark your creativity and spontaneity. You will also be asked to sing a selection from the score and read sides from the script.
Please dress comfortably. Headshots and resumés are preferred, but not required.
Performances will be July 12th & 13th at 7 PM and July 13th & 14th at 2 PM at the Strand Theatre in Hudson Falls.
Rehearsals will be at Church on Tuesdays & Thursdays from 7-9 PM and Sundays from 1-5 PM, beginning May 19th. You will not be required to attend all rehearsals, however all tech rehearsals at the Strand (July 8th-11th) are mandatory to attend.

*ALICE: A curious and adventurous young girl who navigates Wonderland.
*WHITE RABBIT: The frantic and harried creature who leads Alice into Wonderland.
*MOUSE: A timid and cautious rodent who shares his nonsensical story.
CATERPILLAR: A wise and enigmatic insect who imparts cryptic advice.
*DUCHESS: An eccentric and volatile woman with a chaotic household.
CHESHIRE CAT: A mischievous and cryptic feline who guides Alice.
MAD HATTER: An eccentric and whimsical character who hosts a never-ending tea party.
MARCH HARE: A quirky and frenzied participant of the perpetual tea party.
DORMOUSE: A sleepy and lethargic creature who adds to the chaos of the tea party.
QUEEN OF HEARTS: A tyrannical and hot-tempered ruler, known for her obsession with executions and unjust decrees.
KING OF HEARTS: The meek and submissive counterpart to the Queen of Hearts.
KNAVE OF HEARTS: The accused thief who faces trial for stealing tarts.
GRYPHON: A majestic and eccentric creature who offers whimsical insights and stories.
*MOCK TURTLE: A melancholic and nostalgic character who shares his sorrowful tale.
*RED CHESS QUEEN: A regal and authoritative figure in Wonderland’s chess game.
WHITE CHESS QUEEN: The complementary counterpart to the Red Queen.
*TWEEDLEDEE & TWEEDLEDUM: The bumbling and quarrelsome twins who engage in a nonsensical recitation and philosophical debate.
SHEEP: A cranky and rude shopkeeper.
HUMPTY DUMPTY: An arrogant and boastful character who engages in a nonsensical conversation about language and semantics.
*WHITE KNIGHT: A bumbling and well-meaning character who often ends up in comical mishaps.
ENSEMBLE: Various smaller roles, including birds, footmen, playing cards, train passengers, and offstage voices.
