(April 17, 2024–Chatham, NY) The Mac-Haydn Theatre has announced its Limited Performances titles for the 2024 season, including Moondance, featuring Elizabeth Ward Land, Gifts of Love: The Music of Stephen Schwartz, a brand-new musical revue, and the ever-popular Showstoppers, featuring members of the 2024 company.
With this announcement, 7-Show Subscriptions for the 2024 season become available to the general public. All tickets are now on sale at machaydntheatre.org.
Following her limited, acclaimed engagements in 2021 and 2023 with award-winning cabaret Still Within the Sound of My Voice: The Songs of Linda Ronstadt, Elizabeth Ward Land returns for the Mac-Haydn debut of Moondance, which premiered at the Papermill Playhouse last summer. Using her one-of-a-kind voice to weave a spell as she celebrates songs about the moon and the magic that is everywhere around us, the evening will feature songs including “Magic” (Olivia Newton-John), “I Put a Spell on You” (Nina Simone), “Dark Lady” (Cher), and “Moondance,” on July 10, 12 and 26.
From stage to screen, the music of Stephen Schwartz has captured the hearts (and ears) of audiences and artists alike for more than 50 years. On August 21 and 23, join Mac-Haydn favorites for a celebratory evening highlighting the legendary work of the acclaimed Academy and Grammy Award-winning composer in this all-new original revue.
Fan-favorite Mac-Haydn company members deliver groundbreaking performances of musical theater’s greatest hits in Showstoppers, covering styles from classic to contemporary, with tunes by the most noteworthy composers in show business and from Broadway’s biggest shows. On August 28 and 30, the event serves as a celebration of season cast members and the magic of theater – it’s the ultimate show tunes revue.
