THEATER VOICES will host four free staged reading performances of “Love, Loss and What I Wore” by Nora Ephron and Delia Ephron over the weekend of May 17-19, 2024.

THE STORY: Based on Ilene Beckerman’s 1995 memoir of the same name, “Love, Loss and What I Wore” digs into the arcane algebra of female fashion, but there’s clearly more to it than women’s clothing. Marcel Proust wrote “Remembrance of Things Past” after the taste of a pastry unlocked his buried past. In the Ephrons’ play, clothing is the key. The memories it releases are bittersweet, hilarious, disturbing and all too human.

PERFORMANCES: “Love, Loss and What I Wore” will be presented on stage at Steamer No. 10 Theatre, 500 Western Ave., Albany on:

  • Friday, May 17, 7:30 p.m.
  • Saturday, May 18, 2:30 p.m. & 7:30 p.m.
  • Sunday, May 19, 2:30 p.m.

All performances are free, with donations greatly appreciated.
