Casting for 13 roles ranging in age from 17 to 70 – Males and Females
Joe (30s- early 50s. Brash. A rockstar)
Chris(30s-late 40s. Gentil and thought)
Luna (late 20s to 50’s. Mystical and mysterious)
Akuerious (Late 40s—early 50s ex-hippie/groupie)
JR (50’s or 60’s bitter because he is a one hit wonder)
Conrad (late 40s—60s Says he’s from Tennessee but has a Russian accent.)
Mike (early—mid 20s from the east and finds the West a little too weird)
Autumn (late teens to early 20s. Wants a big music career)
New Guy (20s –40s new to the Silver Moon)
George ( 60s—70s) A crazy old poet
Late night Louis (40s—60s a rockabilly guy)
Record exectutive (young, slimmy. Currently, a non-singing role.)
Instrumental ability is an asset on any instrument
Actors will receive a small honorarium for the production scheduled for August 15 to 18, 2024 in the Berkshire, MA area. Rehearsals will be twice a week throughout July leading up to performance week. There will be two performances on August 16 and 17 in the evening and dress rehearsals will be on August 14 and 15. Venues to be confirmed by end of June.
About At the Silver Moon Open Mic
At the Sliver Moon Open Mic is a tribute to the heroes who take their talents public once a week and make live music happen. A cast of local characters and a love story blooms every Wednesday night in this dingy local café bar where everyone forgets their ordinary lives.
Written by Lawrence Joseph Glatt (father and composer/lyricist), Benjamin Glatt (son, librettist), Ezra Glatt (other son and composer/lyricist), and Jon B. Woodin (composer). This is a new production Directed by Michael Siktberg and Musical Director Lawrence Glatt.
