GREENFIELD, MA — The LAVA Center is proud to present our second annual festival of new play readings by (mostly) local playwrights, “On the Boards ’24,” which concludes Friday and Saturday, July 29 and 20, 7 p.m. with a staged reading of Inheritance by Nina Gross.
Inheritance was written and directed by Nina Gross and performed by Brandon Williams, Satya Johnson, Samadhi Hernandez, Kevin McVeigh and Katie Hertel.
Set in the late antebellum south, Inheritance is a story of privilege, power, deception and betrayal. The play calls out a collective American Inheritance.
This play contains language and content that might be triggering to some.
Inheritance was staged in an earlier version during last year’s On the Boards festival; the play has been further developed.
On the Boards ’24 is made possible by grants from the Massachusetts Cultural Council and the local cultural councils of Amherst, Bernardston, Buckland, Conway, Deerfield, Gill, Greenfield, Leyden, Northfield and Shelburne.
