You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brownis playing September 20-September 29, and will be staged by Broadway favorite, Julia Murney and choreographed by Playhouse veteran Michelle Lemon. Eric Thomas Johnson is music director. The cast (in alphabetical order) features: Courtney Balan (Broadway: The Prom & Nat’l Tour, Finding Neverland, [title of show]) as “Lucy” Nicolas Alan Fernandez (Jersey Boys National Tour, Next to Normal, Mamma Mia!) as “Snoopy,” Sammy Pignalosa (The 24 Hour Plays: Nationals 2024, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee) as “Linus,” Daniel Plimpton (National Tours of Book of Mormon, White Christmas, Spring Awakening) as “Charlie Brown,” Hayley Podschun (Broadway: Wicked (Glinda, National Tour), Hello, Dolly!, Something Rotten!) as “Sally,” and Jason Williams (“A Bronx Tale, 1st National Tour, Dreamgirls South Korea Tour, Beautiful: The Carole King Musical) as “Schroeder.” Thomas Beebe (The Great American Mousical at Legacy Theater) understudies the roles of Charlie Brown, Linus, and Schroeder), and Molly Model (Something Rotten at the Sharon Playhouse) serves as Dance Captain and understudies the roles of Sally, Lucy and Snoopy.Judy Bowman CSA/Judy Bowman Casting is the resident casting director for The Sharon Playhouse.The show will feature scenic design by Christopher and Justin Swader, costume design by Kathleen DeAngelis, lighting by Jamie Roderick and sound design by Graham Stone. One September 13th, the Playhouse will present a special star-studded benefit staged reading of the Broadway comedy The Tale of the Allergist’s Wife, on September 13, featuring the author, Charles Busch in the title role, who will be joined by TONY Award Winner Joanna Gleason (Into the Woods), television favorite, Richard Kind (Mad About You) and TONY Award Nominee June Gable (“Estelle” on TV’s Friends) and Rodd Cyrus (Elsbeth). The 2024 season will conclude with the fourth annual presentation of Writers Playground, a ten-minute play festival of new works written by local playwrights(October 4-5).
