A new brew of ghost stories
performed by
Dr. Erastus Betterov-Underhill and Friends
“A roaming collection of spooky monologues…these ghost stories were consistently intriguing.”
-Nippertown
Dr. Betterov-Underhill and Friends are pleased to announce this year’s tour of Whispering Bones—an evening of comic, creepy and thought-provoking ghost stories. Every year the show is new and different. This year’s mix includes stories of forgotten children, mysterious doorways and beautiful vampires, including:
- The Dead Mother by Katharine Tynan
- La Morte Amoreuse by Theophile Gautier
- Mysteries of the Occult by Mary Murphy
- Additional fun and frights.
The stories are performed by talented actors and storytellers, including Katherine Danforth-Hayes, Gabriel Fabian, Kelvin Keraga, Tony Malikowski, Mary Murphy, and others. Dr. Betterov-Underhill will be on hand to promote his fine line of Dead People Products, including his Crème De Menthe Embalming Fluid. “The taste that stays with your forever, and for quite a while after that.”
The show will be performed at four venues in the Capital Region: Fort Salem Theater (Salem NY), Hubbard Hall (Cambridge NY), Bennington Theater (Bennington VT) and The Eighth Step at Proctors (Schenectady, NY) Join us at one of these wonderful venues for a spooky and sometimes silly journey to the dark side of our imagination.
The show is about 90 minutes long, plus intermission. Tickets are $27 or less, depending on the venue.
“We all have ghosts walking through our lives,” says Kelvin Keraga, producer of Whispering Bones. “The ones who’ve left us, the ones we imagine, the ones we wish for or fear. These stories take us deep inside ourselves, where we can see ourselves in the mirror of their visitations. Hope you can join us!”
