About John McNinch:
John grew up in Lenox, MA, at Eastover Resort, where he met his wife, Jackie, a Boston native now with Adams Community Bank. After starting his career in the Boston restaurant scene, John returned to the Berkshires in 2000 to raise their sons and purchase The Olde Heritage Tavern. Under his ownership for 21 years, the Tavern became a beloved spot for locals and a popular destination for the Berkshires’ growing tourist population.
During the pandemic, John launched The McNinch Restaurant Group with his son, Tucker, aiming to reshape the industry by offering benefits like profit-sharing and insurance to create sustainable career paths for workers. Their restaurants include Patrick’s Pub in downtown Pittsfield and 101 Restaurant and Bar in the Holiday Inn.
A graduate of Colby College, John also serves as the moderator for the Town of Lenox, contributing actively to the community he calls home.
