Get ready to laugh! MAC Center to serve up musical comedy about relationships

BENNINGTON, VT – The Monument Arts & Cultural Center is staging “I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change” – the second-longest running off-Broadway musical in history – to coincide with Valentine’s Day. Get ready for a hilarious – and relatable – time!

The crowd-pleasing comedy uses sketches and songs to explore romantic relationships, from the first date through marriage, parenthood, in-laws, and geriatric pick-up lines.

The score includes such witty ballads as “Single Man Drought,” “Tear Jerk,” and “Shouldn’t I Be Less in Love with You.”

As the revue’s tagline goes, “Everything you have ever secretly thought about dating, romance, marriage, lovers, husbands, wives and in-laws, but were afraid to admit.”

Its global popularity has seen it translated into at least 17 languages, from Cantonese to Portuguese to Catalan to Romanian.

Performances of “I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change” are at 7 p.m. Feb. 7, 14, and 15, and 2 p.m. Feb. 8 and 15.
