Latham, NY — Curtain Call Theatre is presenting Theatre People or The Angel Next Door by Paul Slade Smith. This play is Directed by Brian Clemente. In this hilarious adaptation of Ferenc Molnár’s classic farce, Play at the Castle, we are transported to a mansion in Newport, Rhode Island where the young Oliver Adams is on the brink of success! His debut novel is about to be published, or is it? Add in a Broadway playwrighting power couple, a not-so-innocent ingenue, a dumb but gorgeous leading man, a no-nonsense Eastern European maid and you have an old-school farce perfect for today’s audiences!
The cast includes Haley Beauregard, Margaret Hassett, Cameron Stevens, Jeannine Trimboli, Brian Wagner and Alex Yun. Set Design by Joseph Jin, Lighting Design by Yiyuan Li, Sound Design by Tom Moeller, Costume Design by Cheryl Zatt and Stage Management by Rebecca Gardner.
The play opens on Thursday, June 12, 2025 and runs through Sunday, June 29, 2025. Performances are Thursdays at 7:30pm, Fridays & Saturdays at 8pm, and Sundays at 2pm. There will be one Saturday matinee performances at 2pm on June 21, 2025.
