Liam Purcell & Cane Mill Road Bring Appalachian Tunes on June 20; standup Usama Siddiquee of HBO, FX and America’s Got Talent fame on June 21
ADAMS, MA—The Adams Theater will present two shows on Friday, June 20 and Saturday, June 21: Musicians Liam Purcell and Cane Mill Road and Comedian Usama Siddiquee.
Both shows start at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are available at adamstheater.org/events.
22-year-old Liam Purcell is a North Carolina native characterized by No Depression as “the future of bluegrass.” Joined by his band Cane Mill Road, these ramblers twine innovation, tradition, and excellence into a unique musical experience.
Purcell has already established a name for himself in the world of American string band music. Growing up less than a mile away from the legendary guitarist Doc Watson, Purcell was steeped in Appalachian Old-Time and Bluegrass traditions from an early age. Taking inspiration from the local Deep Gap legacy, he began writing, performing, and storytelling from an early age.
On June 22, join us for a night of comedy with Usama Siddiquee. Siddiquee is an NYC-based Bengali-American stand-up and actor known for an “energetic (bordering on frenetic) and intelligent (bordering on genius) romp through his own life experiences.”
Siddiquee has been on Netlifx’s “Inventing Anna,” HBO’s “And Just Like that,” Comedy Central’s “Nora from Queens,” and FX’s “Better Things.” He was also featured on the 2020 season of “America’s Got Talent” and last year made his late night television debut on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. He is a regular at the world famous Comedy Cellar in Manhattan.
