NY Zipline offers a totally unique thrill unlike anything you’ve ever seen and we are looking for actors to be a part of it. Unlike your typical commercial Halloween haunt where they filter 1,000 people a night through horror-themed shipping containers rented at the yearly Horror Expo, ZOMBIE Zips at NY Zipline has a new fully immersive, tactile, intimate and custom-built experience.
We are NOT looking for zombie actors. We are looking for actors that can ad lib a character that falls in line with the experience. Many of our actors have offered maniacal-performance, crazy-comedic, somber-creep, baby-girl-lost-in-the-woods and other characters that offer a more psychological horror than jump scare stuff.
This is an intimate experience. We run tours of only 12 people at a time!
ZOMBIE Zips sends guests through a 1/4 mile “experience”, in the middle of hundreds of acres of forest on top of a desolate mountain top … and it’s only 15 minutes from downtown Schenectady.
No Temu purchased outfits with screaming fake chainsaws or noisy Spirit Halloween animatronics.
THE ZOMBIE ZIPS EXPERIENCE IS UNIQUELY SUBLIME!
As one of only 4-6 ZZ actors, you will directly interact with just 12 guests at a time as they move through an immersive, tactile and psychologically-horrifying experience that culminates with them being thrown off a platform into complete darkness. No lights, no fake pyrotechnics, no escape. They have no idea how high they are or how far they will be zip lining. And it’s not just 1 zipline. They are caught by a zombie and then launched again, and again and again. (Actors have no part in the zipline experience. Trained guides do all the zip line stuff).
This is a physically active gig. Actors must be able to hike 2-3 miles on a forested path over the course of the night (tours run ~7pm-10pm).
Every Friday & Saturday night in the month of October.
Pay is $16/hr with dinner provided.
