THEATER VOICES will present “The Children” by Lucy Kirkwood, directed by Patricia Bunce, in four staged reading performances over the weekend of Oct. 17-19, 2025. As always, admission is FREE, with donations graciously accepted.
THE STORY: Two retired nuclear scientists live in an isolated cottage by the sea as the world around them crumbles. Together they plan to live forever on yogurt and yoga, until an old friend arrives, stirring up the past and shaking up the future with her frightening request.
PERFORMANCES: “The Children” will be presented on stage at Steamer No. 10 Theatre, 500 Western Ave., Albany, on:
- Friday, Oct. 17, 7:30 p.m.
- Saturday, Oct. 18, 2:30 p.m. & 7:30 p.m.
- Sunday, Oct. 19, 2:30 p.m.
CAST & CREW: This production of ”The Children” is directed by Patricia Bunce, who served as director of the Theatre Arts School and acting teacher with the New York State Theatre Institute. The cast features David Bunce, Barbara Richards and Eileen Schuyler, with stage management by Cameryn Coetzee.
