Seeking new Board member from the greater Capital Region

The Theatre Association of New York State (TANYS) will hold its annual general meeting at the 2025 Festival in Rome, NY on Saturday, November 22 (event details are here: https://tanys.org/2025-Festival.html). As part of the annual meeting, we’ll be electing TANYS officers to serve in 2026 and beyond.
TANYS is seeking at least one (1) new Board member from the greater Capital Region, since we lack representation from the area. We currently have an at-large Board position open – and potentially other positions, pending confirmation of the election slate.
Now you’re thinking, “Hmm. I might be interested. But what would I have to do?”
The TANYS Board meets about four (4) times per year via Zoom. We’re looking for a dynamic go-getter who can contribute great ideas, and follow them up with action! While TANYS Board service is volunteer, it’s excellent for your resume… especially for recent grads who have MAD SKILLZ and want to build leadership and management experience. Bonus points for skills & experience in any of the following:
– Grantwriting
– Print production
– Website content management
– Email list management and marketing (via Constant Contact)
– Social media marketing (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube)
