Fort Salem Theater is now accepting applications for creative team positions for our 2026 Mainstage Season! We are seeking Directors, Music Directors, Choreographers, Costume Designers, Sound Designers, Lighting Designers, and Stage Managers. All roles receive a modest stipend, and several productions are still in search of collaborators who are passionate, reliable, and excited to help bring this season to life.
Rehearsals are typically held Sundays from 6PM-10PM, and Monday-Thursday from 7PM-10PM, pending the availability of the cast and the needs of the show. Fort Salem Theater productions typically rehearse for 5-7 weeks maximum. Directors and designers are required to attend a 1-hour weekly production meeting outside of rehearsal hours.
Our 2026 lineup includes Ripcord, The Bridges of Madison County, The Laramie Project, Jagged Little Pill, The SpongeBob Musical: Youth Edition, To Kill a Mockingbird, Lizzie, and our annual holiday revue Snow Business. (Please note that directors for Ripcord, Bridges, and SpongeBob are already confirmed, but other creative positions on those productions are available.)
