The Two Of Us Productions, the award-winning theater company based in Copake NY, is pleased to announce our 2026 season of quality live theater and music. For their 26th season, we’ve picked shows that we hope will please, entertain, and inform our many enthusiastic audience members:
· Ms. Holmes & Ms. Watson; an irreverent, darkly comic, modern take on Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s famous sleuth and sidekick. This fast-paced romp re-examines the world’s most famous detective story with a bold new lens as Ms. Sherlock Holmes (yes, it’s also a girl’s name) & Ms. Joan Watson join forces to emerge from pandemic fog as a deeply codependent, quasi-dysfunctional Odd Couple adventure duo—solving mysteries and kicking butts, until they come face to face with a villain who seems to have all of the answers. Performances on March 20th through 29th, 2026 at the Copake Grange in Copake, NY.
· The Minutes; a sharp new comedy about small-town politics and real-world power, from the author of August: Osage County, exposes the difficult realities behind some of our most closely-held American narratives while asking each of us what we would do to keep from becoming history’s losers. Planned on June 12rh through 21st, 2026 at the Claverack Library in Claverack, NY.
· Man Of La Mancha; this classic musical is inspired by Miguel de Cervantes and his 17th-century novel Don Quixote. It tells the story of the “mad” knight Don Quixote as a play within a play, performed by Cervantes and his fellow prisoners as he awaits a hearing with the Spanish Inquisition. It is chock full of wonderful music including the signature “To Dream The Impossible Dream”. Planned on Nov. 6th through 15th, 2026 at the Copake Grange in Copake NY.
The Two Of Us Production’s 2026 Season is complimenting these 3 captivating full-scale productions with their 7th season of live staged-readings presented via ZOOM. These readings, started in 2020, have continued to draw enthusiastic audiences and actors. The Two Of Us Productions has been presenting quality live theater since is well known throughout the Hudson Valley for presenting quality theater, both musicals and dramas. Their recent productions of Cabaret, Blithe Spirit, Clue On Stage, The Lady And The Clarinet, Sweeney Todd, A Shayna Maidel, Chicago, Nunsense, Les Miserables, next to normal, Deathtrap, and Jesus Christ Superstar were all recognized by the Theatre Association of NYS with multiple theatrical quality awards.
These performances are supported with funds from Hudson River Bank & Trust Foundation, Stewart’s Shops, Bank of Greene County, Rheinstrom Hill Community Foundation, Greylock Federal Credit Union, Key Bank and The Ackerman Fund.
