Sidelined by a serious injury when covering the Iraq War, a photojournalist returns home to Brooklyn and her longtime partner, a foreign correspondent. Now, together, they must question their personal and professional lives and place in the world.

That’s the story behind TIME STANDS STILL by Donald Margulies, a Tony-nominated play that “compellingly demonstrates what a master playwright can do with great economy and efficiency … A rare play that encompasses universal issues and personal problems with equal compassionate insight.” (Bloomberg)

Theater Voices will present a fully staged reading of “Time Stands Still,” directed by Eleah Jayne Peal, in four performances over the weekend of Feb. 6-8, 2026. As always, admission is FREE, with donations graciously accepted.  

PERFORMANCES: “Time Stands Still” will be presented on stage at Steamer No. 10 Theatre, 500 Western Ave., Albany, on:

  • Friday, Feb. 6, 7:30 p.m.
  • Saturday, Feb. 7 2:30 p.m. & 7:30 p.m.
  • Sunday, Feb. 8, 2:30 p.m.

CAST & CREW: This production of ”Time Stands Still” is directed by Eleah Jayne Peal, Executive Director of Steamer No. 10 Theatre, who is joining Theater Voices for the first time as a director after previous stage managing experiences with the company. 

The cast features Jennifer Harder, Gabriel Thom Pasculli, Howie Schaffer and Laura Menzie, with stage management by Macayla Roberts.
