Great Barrington— On Friday, March 27th at 7 p.m., Saturday, March 28th at 7 p.m., and Sunday, March 29th at 2 p.m., W.E.B. Du Bois Regional Middle School presents “Something Rotten! Jr.”

Set in the 1590s, the show chronicles brothers Nick and Nigel Bottom as they set out to write the world’s very first musical. With 74 middle school participating students, the musical comedy features huge dance numbers, hilarious songs, soothsayers, and William Shakespeare himself.

“Watching these students work together for over three months—to learn complicated dances, complex scenes, and challenging songs—has been unbelievable,” said director Joshua Briggs, who is joined by musical director Sunhwa Reiner, choreographer Stephanie Cohen, producer Ginevra Bull, assistant director Julian Park, and costume designer Rebecca Honig.

The performances are on Friday, March 27th at 7 p.m., Saturday, March 28th at 7 p.m., and Sunday, March 29th at 2 p.m. at W.E.B. Du Bois Regional Middle School, located at 600 Stockbridge Road in Great Barrington. Tickets are available at the door until they sell out.
